Official Press Release: [Erica] I am not going to apologize for slacking off this time, because too many of our webpages start out that way. For the past 5 or so months Ari has been on the frontlines, taking care of Diego most of the time while I have been, as Ari likes to call it, "storming the castle" in the hospital. But those days are over, I have officially started the leisurely portion of my 4th year and no more 6 day work weeks or overnight call. Meanwhile Diego is a talking, running, singing machine. His favorite subjects are firetrucks, the various forms of San Francisco Public transportation, anything that "lives" in the sky and farting (the only word in which he knows the past tense). He's total bruiser and got his first black eye the other day; he was running while pushing his stroller, hit a bump and went flying. Ari likes to say "that's what happens when you spill paint in Daddy's garage", as you can imagine, that doesn't go over too well with the local moms.

All in all, the terrible twos haven't been that terrible.
